BIS Biathlon- Sunday 20th November 2011.
Congratulations to all our participants who took part in the BIS Biathlon last weekend; from our youngest participants in the 4-5 year old race (definitely the cutest race!), to some excellent performances in the Open and team events.
It was lovely to see students, parents and teachers competing alongside and against each other in individual and team events.
It was also fantastic to see the ISDI (Indonesian Down Syndrome Association) and Sekolah Bisa participants fully involved. Thank you to Chloe McCombie and Michelle, Michael and Mika Singgih for completing the swim leg for the joint CAS/Sekolah Bisa teams for the Team of Four event.
The BIS Biathlon Results are as follows..

Of particular note was Chris Simpson’s performance in the Open Race, a swim of 300 metres and a 2K run, in a fantastic time of 10.39.53. This was over a minute faster than his winning performance last year!
Juliette Van Ratingen also deserves a special mention for competing in 4 races and has won a special prize of a Puma Watch from our sponsors for her efforts.
The Kristal Hotel Prize draw winners, who were drawn from the race participants and win a night at the Kristal Hotel are: Parents of Mayela Lumban Gaol
The Kristal Hotel Prize Draw winner from our volunteers, who wins a dining voucher for the Kristal Hotel is: Angus Stewart
A BIG THANK YOU to our sponsors of the event: Puma Watches (care of Watch World) who provided prizes for our Open Race and Team of 2 race; SOS for their first aid provision alongside BIS nurses and Aqua & Mizone for their continued support of sports events in school. The Kristal Hotel for our lucky draw prizes and and Dessi and Fariz in the Activities Office who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ran smoothly, along with Gaye and her team of swim coaches who ensured poolside ran smoothly. Particular thanks goes to Pak Parjo, Pak Tonno and Pak Ohman who prepare equipment for all the sporting events and Pak Arbi and his team who ensure everything is set up ready for the event.
