THINK PINK WEEK

Date of News Item:
Fri,21st Oct 2011

Monday 17th to Friday 21st October

It was fantastic to see so many students and staff supporting ‘Think Pink’ day.  The proceeds will be given to two Jakarta based organisations and will be used to support the further study of breast cancer here, and provide screening opportunities to local women unable to access such services.

Several events took place in the lead up to the mufti – day across the campus with House food and drink sales at lunchtimes in Secondary and House Games at lunchtime today in Primary, culminating in a House Quiz.  The ‘Think Pink’ bear raffle was drawn, congratulations to Mrs. Veronica Howes (whose daughter Taryn is in Year 3).

I am very happy to report on behalf of staff (Heather Lockett and Sara Wilsonlock in particular) and student house leaders that we have raised over RP 30 million. This is an incredible achievement and we would like to thank everyone in the BIS community for supporting this event.
