KS3 Weekly Routines

Monday:

All year 7, 8 and 9 students have their student planners checked for parental signatures, communication and recording of homework. This is usually undertaken by the support tutor.

Wednesday:

House assemblies or Whole School assemblies.

Thursday:

All year 7, 8 and 9 students participate in silent reading. Students are expected to spend registration time reading an appropriate fictional book of their own choice.

Friday:

All Key Stage 3 students attend a Year Group or whole Key Stage assembly.
At Year Group assemblies the emphasis is on giving each tutor and tutees the opportunity to run or facilitate an assembly. Assembly topics are generated from relevant world issues or important celebration days appropriate to these year levels. The BIS core values and celebrations of students success and achievements are also regularly incorporated into the assemblies.
