KS4 Pastoral System at BIS
Welcome to Key Stage 4 at the British International School, Jakarta. At Key Stage 4, students undertake the GCSE or IGCSE courses within their chosen subjects. The Key Stage 4 year team aims to provide students with the support they need to achieve to their potential in this important Key Stage.
An important part of studying at BIS is the tutorial guidance and support delivered by highly experienced staff on both a group and personal basis. All students have a Form Tutor whose support is crucial so that all students make the best possible progression. Tutors are supported the Head of Key Stage 4 and the Year 10 and Year 11 Year Leaders. The tutors all teach in KS4 and are also responsible for delivering most of the PSHE programme to their tutor group so they are therefore aware of the curriculum content and the challenges that may be encountered. Tutors also act as an important link with parents, whose role is vital in the success of all students.
