Stefan Merchant

An Australian by birth and a fluent bahasa Indonesia speaker, Garry Wilsdon is a member of the MFL/TOK Faculties and has been an IB Tutor at BIS for four years. He is a keen tennis player and has travelled widely. He is famous at BIS for hosting Indonesian Day assemblies and for leading the traditional dance routines.

An accomplished flautist and keen bahasa Indonesian speaker, Liz Alwi is in her tenth year at BIS and has been a Tutor to all year groups, the past five of these on the IB team. She is a member of the Performing Arts Faculty and enjoys performing on flute and spending time with her family, especially her two young sons.

A keen Geographer, Amy Foster joins the Humanities Faculty and IB Tutor team this year, having been a Sixth Form Tutor in the UK. Her love of travel and all things geographical brought her to Indonesia and to BIS, her first international school. She is an avid photographer who also enjoys Body Combat.

Cate McCosker joins the Science Faculty at BIS this year after twelve years overseas. A Biology specialist, Cate is in her element outdoors and enjoys the variety of activities on offer in Indonesia. She is very much looking forward to her first surfing and diving lessons.
